4,000-year-old stone board game discovered at Oman excavation site

Archaelogists said the board game appeared similar to other games played during the Bronze Age.

Archaeologists in Oman have discovered a 4,000-year-old stone board game near the village of Ayn Bani Saidah. 

Teams from the University of Warsaw’s Polish Center of Mediterranean Archaeology and Oman’s Heritage and Tourism Ministry unearthed the artifact last month while excavating prehistoric settlements in northern Oman’s mountainous Qumayrah Valley.
