Gaza 100 days: humanitarian crisis worsens as death toll surpasses 24,000
Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis continues to deteriorate with no hopes for a cease-fire any time soon.
The war in the Gaza Strip has entered its 100th day with no signs of abating, as the Israeli bombardment from the air, sea and ground rages on.
At least 132 people have been killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll since the war erupted in October to 24,100, mostly women and children, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in the enclave.
More than 60,834 others have been injured, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Israel waged its campaign against Gaza to eradicate Hamas after militants from the movement infiltrated into southern Israel Oct. 7 in an unprecedented attack, during which around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were killed and 240 others taken hostage.
