West Bank violence peaks with 344 killed, nearly 6,000 arrested amid Gaza war
Hundreds have been killed in the West Bank since Israel stepped up its raids and arrests in the territory in conjunction with the war in Gaza.
Five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike that hit their car near the Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank early on Wednesday. The fatality is the latest amid rising violence in the Palestinian territory as the war in the Gaza Strip continues to rage.
According to WAFA, Israeli military vehicles surrounded the vehicle after it was bombed and opened fire at a Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulance, preventing it from approaching the scene. The PRCS confirmed the reports, saying its teams came under Israeli fire as they attempted to reach the site.
