Anticipating a retaliation on the part of Iran after the suspected Israeli killing on April 1 in Syria of Quds Force regional commander Mohammad Reza Zahedi, Israel has prepared for different scenarios.

These scenarios include a direct hit by Iran, either against targets within Israel or abroad, or the expansion of the military campaign by Iran proxies, such as Hezbollah, the Houthis and militias in Syria and Iraq.

Dozens of rockets and at least two drones were fired at the Israeli northern Galilee region Friday evening, but it is not clear yet whether these were part of a larger Iranian attack. No casualties were reported. Hezbollah took responsibility for the fire.
